Viegand Maagøe had set some unique premises for this project as the project involves in-depth knowledge of a specific business, strategic understanding, technical knowledge, and financial skills.
We executed the analytical process. Moreover, we created the foundation for an international strategy together with the company’s management. The strategy involved:
- market screening of Europe and North America
– Which markets are attractive?
– How to target these markets?
– What are the potentials for each market
– What barriers exist in each market
– Which players are there?
– What are the potentials for corporations? - deep-dive analyses at selected markets
- evaluation of company and qualifications
- presentation of the strategy for the company’s board of directors in close corporation with the company’s management
- a workshop for the company’s management.

Viegand Maagøe was part of the process from beginning to end. We were involved in the collection of data, analyses, strategic evaluations, presentations for board of directors, and meetings with potential international coorporative partners.
Results
The energy company has an approved strategy and they are ready to invest in foreign countries. The company has generated in-depth knowledge about the individual markets. Moreover, they have prioritized geographical markets based on data. And therefore the strategy focuses on areas with highest potentials.
Close cooperation with the company’s management
The project was in close cooperation with the company’s top management. This meant that the work would be adapted to the reality of the company continuously.
