How we completed the assignment
In Denmark, it is against the law to burn sorted household plastic. Until now, the recycling options for this fraction of waste has not existed. Which is why, Danish waste handlers have been forced to export around 200.000 tons of plastic annually.
Dansk Affaldsminimering is the first company to utilize this resource commercially. Viegand Maagøe has in cooperation with Dansk Affaldsminimering obtained extended knowledge about the obstacles, the profits, and the environmental impacts as well as the potentials for using household plastic as a resource.

Dansk Affaldsminimering can solve a huge waste issue in Denmark and while simultaneously replace production of new plastic with a cleaner alternative.

With our assistance, Dansk Affaldsminimering can invest in a plant that will make them suppliers of compounded plastic products. These products will be fully competitive with newly produced plastic. This will bring Dansk Affaldsminimering a great step closer to the aim of recycling a larger part of the Danish household plastic.
