Website and Brand Identity for a Ukrainian Energy Fund
Reference: International Finance Corporation (World Bank)
How do you motivate Ukrainian house owners to generate energy efficient households? A new internationally supported energy fund will help projects throughout the country.
Viegand Maagøe has developed a website and a brand identity.
How we solved the task
Viegand Maagøe has developed a website and a brand identity for the new Energy Efficiency Fund. The fund is the World Bank’s initiative to help Ukrainian house owners to act energy efficient similarly to the rest of Europe.
The website will be the Ukrainians’ guide to support and improve energy savings. The website was challenging development wise since it targets both Ukrainians and a number of partners in the project, including:
- The Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine
- The Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister
- The German Development Organization
- The World Bank
- EU
- FN
The object of the brand was to express transparency and innovation.
To come up with a strong brand everyone could support, we arranged several workshops with partners and representants for the target group in Kiev. We also gathered empirical knowledge through focus group interviews and local collaborating partners.
Based on this, we developed test designs which helped us to create the final brand and website.
Results
Viegand Maagøe developed four elements:
- Logo
- Website
- Brand guide
- Promotion material
The design visually brings and keeps all the project’s partners together without compromising with shapes, colours, or tone of voice.
Today, the Energy Efficiency Fund has gained a modern brand which appeals to the target audience.
