Organization
We are a consulting company specializing in energy optimization, green transition, sustainability and ESG. The customer base includes private companies and public sectors in Denmark and the rest of the world, as well as EU institutions. At the beginning of 2025, we are approx. 150 employees.
Ownership
Since 2022, we have shared ownership with Dansk Ejerkapital, who will help develop the company into Northern Europe’s leading adviser in ESG and sustainability.
Dansk Ejerkapital owns 49%, while the other ownership is divided between the 2 founders and a group of partners, all of whom hold leading positions in the company.
Viegand Maagøe has 2 subsidiaries:
VHK
VHK was acquired in 2024 and continues to operate as a subsidiary under its own name with headquarters in the Netherlands and a branch in Brussels, Belgium. VHK is one of the leading technical consultancy companies within ecodesign and energy labeling in the EU.
VM Europe
In November 2024, we took over a subsidiary from COWI with 19 EU experts and EU contracts. We did this to strengthen our advisory services to EU institutions on policy development and to other clients on the Union’s many different regulations on sustainability and ESG. The subsidiary has been named VM Europe.
Management
The executive board consists of Søren Eriksen, CEO since 2014, Jan Viegand and Peter Maagøe Petersen, who founded Viegand Maagøe in 2006.
