About us

We are a consultancy specializing in energy optimization, green transition, sustainability and ESG. The customer base includes private companies and public sectors in Denmark and the rest of the world as well as EU institutions.

We are approx. 150 employees.

Subsidiaries

VHK was acquired in 2024 and continues to operate as a subsidiary under its own name with headquarters in the Netherlands and a branch in Brussels, Belgium. VHK is one of the leading technical consultancy companies within ecodesign and energy labeling in the EU.

VM Europe logo In November 2024 Viegand Maagøe acquired the EU Policy Team of COWI based in Brussels and Denmark. Through this acquisition, Viegand Maagøe is strengthening its advisory team supporting EU institutions and other clients implementing policies and programmes on sustainability and ESG. The subsidiary has been named VM Europe.

 

Management

The executive board consists of Søren Eriksen, CEO since 2014, Jan Viegand and Peter Maagøe Petersen, who founded Viegand Maagøe in 2006.

Ownership

Since 2022, we have shared ownership with Dansk Ejerkapital, who will help develop the company into Northern Europe’s leading adviser in ESG and sustainability.

Dansk Ejerkapital owns 49%, while the other ownership is divided between the 2 founders and 7 partners, all of whom hold leading positions in the company.
