The task
The project was defined as Høje Taastrup Fjernvarme establishing and operating a heat pump system, which will be placed in Nordea's buildings and connected to Nordea's data center.
The project had to be integrated into an existing building with limited space and with respect to existing environments. This gave us a number of technical challenges that we had to find solutions for.
Result
On-site measurements were carried out in 2018 and a business case was established. After approval from the board of Høje Taastrup District Heating, the tender process began, which took place in 2019. In the summer of 2019, a general contractor was selected and the construction process was initiated.
The project was initiated in the last quarter of 2020. The heat pump provides district heating equivalent to the heat consumption of approximately 700 households.
